SOCIETY OF SACRED FLOWERS You are more important than profit. It’s time for a new religion and this time not even use the old abused word of 'religion.' Rather a new phrase: it's time for a new 'Way of Abiding.' The Way of Abiding of Personal Realization. The essence and truth of the Society of Sacred Flowers is this one motivation. It's your purpose of live. It's the basis of all your activity throughout your life: Be A Benefit to Others. Benefit: Helpful, Mutual Benefit, Equal Rights, Environmental Sanity. You're in the midst of the Great Schism away from all the Dark Age religions, away from all the Pre-Internet religions. So, that's it. Be a Benefit to Others. It's your purpose in life and your first motivation for all action. From a lifetime of this motivation and action you will personally understand what life really is. Now, if you want to read more of the Society of Sacred Flowers and the Way of Abiding read on. HISTORY As we can see from current events, it’s time for a 'way of abiding.' The list of current religions leave a trail of political corruption, sexual hysteria, an affinity with military murders, and religious based justifications for repression. It’s time to leave behind the toga-and-sandals antiquities and Dark Age superstitious attitudes of the past and intellectually upgrade to the world we know now. The toga-and-sandals crowd did not know Einstein, Darwin, Heisenberg, carbon, and radioactive isotope dating of time in the geologic record, Hubble telescope pictures of the vast universe, photosynthesis, quantum theory, DNA, and on and on. Any religion that states that they are the chosen people, the one way, the only path, their “god” is the only god, only through their religion can you get to “ heaven,” etc., these are only Nazi-type religions with rationalized repression, justified exclusion and violence against others who are not members of their religion. They are dangerous to you. When you hear such claims of superiority, turn around and walk right out of the door. Such religions don't have any wisdom, are intentionally ignorant to protect their finances, and are out to control you and limit your intellectual growth. There are two major obstacles to humanity becoming an intelligent-humane world community: 1. American-style Sick International Capitalist Corporations (SICC). SICCs have a basic fraudulent motivation: profit is more important than you. The “bottom line” basis of all the economic theory is that profit is the basic measure upon which the whole system is justified. SICC’s profit-driven legacy is corruption, the policy of prohibition, fraudulent wars for corporate advantage (such as the illegal Iraq invasion by the USA), pollution, poison, and starvation. Profit as the motivation for action has brought the whole world to the brink of environmental destruction. 2. Organized toga-and-sandals religions: Their mythological fantasy and legacy of religious justified torture, slavery, inquisitions, suppression of intellectual education, hatreds, repression of human sexuality, corporate created poverty, and repression of women have brought the world unnecessary war and suffering. TODAY You are more important than profit. Realization is the natural real mind you already have and have always had. Your distraction from your real mind is manipulated by religion, government propaganda, military indoctrination, advertising, and family-society cultural bias. With finding, realizing, and stabilizing the attention to your real mind, you naturally leave the antiquated notions of “religion”, and the other discriminators behind. The Society of Sacred Flowers is the Way of Abiding in Realization. The Society of Sacred Flowers (SOSF) accepts and has no trouble with the theories of Darwin, Einstein, Heisenberg, and the carbon dating results of the geologic record. The SOSF is open to many theoretical schools of thought: chaos theory, fractals, Quantum Physics, and the understanding that humans, all species, and even the planet itself are still evolving and are not at a stage of stasis or perfection. Why were all religions created? Death. Death is certain. Religions were created to explain life faced with the certainty of death. With no knowledge, the toga-and-sandals crowd had to rely on myth to explain the purpose of life. This myth- making morphed into humans dictating cultural or societal restraints and used the mythological threat of suffering after death if such dictated behaviors weren't followed. Let’s get right into the sex, drugs and rock of the SOSF: In SOSF: We take the best of all great and unknown genius who profess the natural mind and its expression of love, cooperation, kindness, compassion, and equanimity. The natural mind is the essence of all. We endorse getting high for the aid to realization as well as for recreational enjoyment of it (with the wisdom of your responsibility for your actions). We endorse joy, community, mutual benefit, kindness. We say it is easy to choose how to live. Which would you rather live A life filled with fear, hate, bitterness, racism, anger, competitive aggression, greed, alienation (preached as individualism), you know, the life espoused by the American Republican Party and corporate capitalism. Or Would you prefer a life filled with joy, love, generosity, life time health care, community, peace, and a peaceful death? Under the SICC capitalist doctrine; profit is more important than you. When profit is the measure of success, there are no ethics, morality, intelligence, or justice. All we have is pollution, cancer, warfare, and poverty-riddled world society. The Truth of life is It is guaranteed that suffering, war, and violence will continue as long as the current basic motivation of profit infects the people, government, and society. Climate Change reality is clearly pointing out the disaster such profit-at-any-price economics guarantees. It is necessary to replace the whole system of poison and pollution economics and develop the system to what is true and beneficial: The Society of Sacred Flowers states: You are more important than profit. THE WAY OF ABIDING: REALIZATION The tenets, symbols, mission statement, and sacraments of the Society of Sacred Flowers: No “god”: There never was god. There is no external entity – called god - separate from you that is watching and judging you. That is a medieval fabrication to maintain a parent-child relationship of control over you, to keep you small minded, to limit your intellectual development, to keep you fearful, and thus, locked into the dictates of religion. God was a fabrication by people with limited intelligence. When humans experienced floods, earthquakes, hurricanes, children dying, mental health problems, physical health problems that humans had no understanding of they created a catch-all entity to explain such phenomena and in ignorance of any wisdom or science said, “It was god’s doing.” Now we know better. Here is a typical example of the Christian statement of ignorance that can only find punishment as the medical diagnosis: “It pleaseth Our Lord that thou shouldst be infected with this malady…and thou hast great grace at the hands of Our Lord that he desireth to punish thee for thy iniquities in this world”. Even today, Christians look at medical conditions, social behaviors, weather phenomena, geologic activity, and sexual enjoyment in terms of punishment. There is no god entity as singular planning being. Humans are evolving life forms like all others and are not the ultimate, perfect, center of attention, made in the image of a “god,” nor are humans the crown or end of creation. Nor is there an original sin; there is only the current problem of the lack of understanding and education of the true natural mind. "Made in the image of god" was an egotistic wrong turn. Humans are completely integrated and dependent upon the earth. They are not separate or special or chosen. Such a claim is an egotistic wrong road. It made for delusions of separation from our environment with humans asserting they had an awareness that was distinct. This was a first and arrogant mistake. You breathe the air of this world, you drink the water of this world, you eat the foods of this earth. And as you see other species do, when you die, you drop your body form and blend right into this world. The delusion is that you go somewhere else. Timid minds and thought-control institutions of religion, government, and military say that if there is no god of judgment, this means there is no purpose to life, but that, too, is a statement of deception or ignorance. There is no Hell: There is no final judgment waiting to happen after death. There is no place of hell after death. Hell is another fabrication to scare you to stay ignorant and subservient to the old religion and has nothing to do with Realization. Hell is made on this earth during this life by people. Hell is: Murder carried out by individuals, military, governments and criminal organizations, Guantanamo Bay torture chambers, imprisonment with no charges and no trial, persecution and violence justified by religion, businesses dumping thousands of tons of poison into our planet's air, earth, and water, tobacco corporations causing the death of an estimated 1.5 million people a year for the profits derived from tobacco products, corporations driving working people at near slave wages to maximize corporate profit, millions of people needlessly living at the edge of mass starvation, humans trained to kill so as to carry out murder for the benefit of corporations and government. Hell already exists here on earth and it is created and perpetuated by people through greed, ignorance, and lies. Military: All war is failure. You should not have to kill to get food, natural resources, health care, access to water, farmland, clothing or shelter. It is a lie that a military is necessary. A military is a testament to failure. The military is used to protect government and corporate entities from retaliation for the destruction, violence, and corruption that was done by government and its’ corporate allies. All money spent on the military is money wasted. It is money taken from food, health care, education, environmental oversight, and agriculture. SOSF members do not join a system that indoctrinates and teaches to kill other human beings. Members are exempt from military service. When one’s government and all nations of the world work for the benefit of others, there is no need for a military. Such a system of cooperation, sharing and caring is the correct use of this human life, as well as correct action of business, and government. Firearms and weapons Firearms, weapons and alcohol are not allowed at SOSF gatherings, meetings and festivals. The USA averages 10,000 murders a year because of the open access to firearms. That is completely insane. Firearms are only meant to kill. As firearms are so lethal, it is correct for their registration, background checks, mandatory education as to safe use and safe storage and denial of access to persons with violent history. There would not have been a Sandy Hook mass murder of children, if a mentally disturbed boy did not have access to firearms. The access to firearms was the key factor. In the final SOSF view, No guns equals No gun murders. The Best solution is the elimination of the Second Amendment in the US Constitution. The SOSF endorses the complete elimination of access and possession of firearms. The one caveat here is the continued reality of hunting for food. Hunters can continue to have access to firearms. But we are in the 21st century and know that the killing of animals for trophy is abhorrent and not supported. Sex: Sex between consenting human adults is good. Marriage between people, homosexual or heterosexual, is fine, There is no need for marriage except when people want a written contract of partnership. Marriage is only a contract option and is not a religious mandate. Marriage is viewed as a contract of mutually agreed support, inheritance and assistance. People who live together without a marriage contract have the same rights of health care, education, legal protection, legal access, and inheritance as those of contractually married people. The SOSF will perform and endorse a marriage but also accepts people who determine that they do not want to be married. The SOSF does not accept marriage of children or between an adult and a child. Sex is a natural element of this life. Decisions of sexual activity or sexual celibacy are up to the individual and are their responsibility, not controlled by religion. The SOSF has no prejudice or bias against people who have consensual sex with people of different races, ethnics, religions, or if it is heterosexual or homosexual sex. The SOSF accepts sex between consenting humans as normal. Sex should be a joy of this life’s activities. The SOSF wishes all humans to have good active sex lives. The SOSF accepts laws in countries that prohibit adults having sex with children. Women: The human species has two genders: male (man) and female (woman). In all aspects of life, women are equal status as men. It seems absurd to have to even say it as it is so obvious. Yet, the antiquated toga- and-sandals religions still cling to myths that make women subservient to men. So a statement should be made about the stance of the SOSF in this regard. Women are not subservient to men. Women make their own medical treatment decisions, women get paid the same as a man in all employment, women may pursue career choices and inherit property, attend school and university, travel as they want, hold public office, vote in all elections, and in all aspects of life have the same rights and opportunities as a man. Birth Control: Although seeds and flowers are symbols of the SOSF, but because there are more than seven billion people already on the earth, the SOSF endorses birth control measures to limit human population growth on the planet. Abortion is a medical procedure that is a viable option for a variety of reasons available to the pregnant woman. Such a decision is up to the woman, and we support whatever her decision is. SOSF supports the open access to abortion. The SOSF supports unrestricted access to birth control methods for both men and women as well as sex education. Sex Education is about sex, and the reality of sex and does not have any 'abstinence' directives to the education. The SOSF endorses prenatal care and support for all pregnant women, including and not limited to blood testing, ultra-sound, exercise and dietary assistance. After the baby is born, the woman should continue to have medical support and time away from work for at least 6 months. Such prenatal and postnatal care is to be paid for and part of the National Health Care system of the country. If the woman is going to carry the baby to birth then let's help her have a healthy baby. Medical care: As all humans will need some medical care sometime in their life, The SOSF says that medical care is a human right. The need for medical care is a natural part of life. It is one of the main “businesses” of all countries. In the SOSF, there are no “health insurance” corporations to pay money to. The SOSF states that all profit-run “health insurance” companies are frauds. As you are the government, government should do the things that benefit you. Providing access to quality health care is one of the reasons for the existence of government. Remember, you are the government, not corporate businesses. Government is not a business. Government is not to judge its actions based upon whether the action will make a profit. Health care is not about profit; it is about providing health care to all people. Government is a collective arrangement by people to provide care and services to people. The SOSF states that government provides a system for humans to have access to the medical assistance that they need. There is no “insurance.” If you need health care, you get it. The Single Payer type of national health care is the proper system. Pain control in illness: Members of the SOSF may use all available drugs for the reduction of pain caused by medical problems. Heavy medication to control pain is fine and does not reduce the innate natural state. Life decision: Members of the SOSF may decide to terminate their own life. When long term pain or gradual collapse of their mental or physical state is imminent, or when no known cure for suffering is available, and only protracted pain with breathing, heart function, ambulatory hospital care is the only option the SOSF member may decide to terminate their live. There is no recrimination against SOSF members who reach such a decision and end their lives. Because the SOSF holds that every human being is their own mind, and that “after death” is only the extension of a human being's awareness, SOSF members may decide to end their life when medical issues and protracted painful suffering till death are certain. Banking: The SOSF can provide banking services to its members. A SOSF bank will operate for its members. You must be a member of SOSF to use the bank. To be a member, a person must sign agreement to this Manifesto of the Society of Sacred Flowers. This Manifesto in its entirety is the tenet and mission statement of the Society of Sacred Flowers. SOSF Banks are state banks. ATM cards may be issued to members and the ATM cards will be used by the members to access their checking account while they are in another state or nation. Members of the bank have to be legal residents of the state where the bank is located. All loans created by the SOSF bank are for investment in the state where the bank is located. In the SOSF, usury, the loaning of money with excessive interest attached to the loan, is illegal. Therefore, the SOSF will lend money at 1% interest and never any higher interest rate nor add any fee for early repayment of the loan. The loan must be secured with appropriate valued property, which will be held by the SOSF until the loan is repaid. If the loan arrangement collapses from failure to repay the loan, the SOSF will take full ownership of the held property to dispose of or sell off as seen fit, but only to benefit all members of the SOSF. All loans will only originate through the official SOSF bank. A SOSF bank is only valid by certification by the SOSF governing body. If you want more information about that, use the email contact. The SOSF bank will give a more detailed statement of its fee and operating functions when a member desires to sign up for a SOSF bank account. Individual SOSF members who make a loan to another person must make the loan with no interest or with no more than 1% interest. The individual society member’s loan situation is the responsibility of the individuals involved and not the SOSF as a whole. The SOSF views corporate credit cards as fraudulent usury schemes. Society members are encouraged to end their credit card accounts, destroy their credit cards and not participate in credit card operations. Banking accounts, checking, savings deposits and other usual banking activities are carried out by the SOSF bank. Investment activities such as stocks and bonds, derivative schemes, are not part of the SOSF bank. The SOSF bank will potentially invest in a members business and real estate venture. As membership grows, the SOSF will poll the members to determine whether the SOSF will create and maintain a pension fund for members. No pension fund or other investment will be undertaken without notification of all current SOSF members and agreement of a 60% majority of the members. The board members of the SOSF will make the initial determination of whether to begin pension fund or other type of investment activity. Business: The Society of Sacred Flowers (SOSF) members operate business on the basic motivation of: Be a benefit to others. As such, all products made are generated with the best materials, organic quality, most environmentally acceptable and recyclable materials that are available. Pollution is minimized, and recycling of material is the norm. Businesses are maximized to being a benefit to all members of the business enterprise and the population at large. The SOSF view is that the interpretation of the laws of the USA that gives corporations legal rights like those of individual human rights are incorrect. Corporations are business enterprises and are not human beings. Human needs are the only true concerns of government and business. People are the government. The business of government is to benefit people. People benefiting people is the business of business. Labor Unions: The Society of Sacred Flowers (SOSF) supports the creation and operation of labor unions. Labor Unions are the means for employees, to collectively bargain and address grievances, wages, health, rights, sanitation, contracts, and other concerns to business and corporations. Society of Sacred Flowers endorses worker owned business operations. Agriculture: No Genetically Modified (GMO/GM/GE) foods. There is no need for genetically modifying any of our food sources. GMO’s are a fraud perpetrated by Monsanto type agriculture corporations. There have always been better farm management options than the toxic herbicide, pesticide system. Dedicated farm trials have proved it. NO nuclear power A nuclear power electricity generating facility is nothing more than a system to boil water. The fuel used to boil water is the most toxic, violently dangerous radioactive material. There is no means to dispose of or neutralize the deadly radioactive material. This is insanity. There is no justified use of such a material. It is being promoted and continued only for corporate profits. The SICC credo: profit is more important than you. Already hundreds of thousands of tons of deadly radioactive material are stored in inadequate facilities. SOSF demands the end of all nuclear power facilities as well as the end of all nuclear weapons and depleted uranium ammunition. Internet: The internet must continue as a worldwide open information exchange without censorship. Taxation systems of government: The SOSF believes that the government must support, implement, and operate national health care systems that include all citizens. The government must offer quality education for all, care for the aged, control pollution, and operate all activities transparently so the public can always have access to accurate and full disclosure of government finances. This covers both national, and individual states and international affairs of government. You are the government. It’s your tax money that is funding all activities of government. So, you are fully justified to always have available a complete accurate reporting of where and how your tax money is being spent. There is no valid “secrecy”, or “national security” issue to keep you from knowing where your money is spent. The sole reason for government is; you pay your taxes to get programs that benefit you. All enterprises including but not limited to; banking, hospitals, stocks and bonds, all investment businesses, and police are mandated to have full and open transparent operation with independent oversight. Since your money is involved in these operations, you get to know where and how that money is spent. Remember: You are more important than profit. You are the government. Government: The SOSF sees no need for a Central Intelligence Agency (CIA) organization that hides and lies to the public. As all operations of government are paid for by you, all operations of government are open to your review. There is never material hidden from you, because by your taxes you are funding all operations of government. You are completely justified to accurately know what government is doing. The operations of government is to benefit others both within the country as well as internationally, there is no need for the CIA and other such spy or police organizations. The SOSF says that Homeland Security, the TSA, the Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA) are fraudulent invasions of the citizens’ Constitutional and Bill of Rights and are waste of taxpayers’ money and must be eliminated. Likewise the SOSF states that the legislation called the Patriot Act and the FISA Amendments Act of 2008 must be eliminated and provisions in the National Defense Authorization Act (NDAA) that allow the president to murder American citizens, that allow the military to arrest and imprison American citizens and deny citizens’ access to attorney and allow indefinite detention are obviously unconstitutional and must be eliminated. Also the very outdated and unconstitutional Espionage Act must be eliminated. As to our life and its purpose Everything is based upon your mind. Love is the bloom from the clarity of understanding. Clarity: Complete freedom Realization is through your mind by direct experience. You realize the unimpeded clarity within you and find that you always had innate clarity, and that it is the same as the unimpeded unlimited nature of the universe. Faith: “Faith-based religion” is a statement by the old-style religion of having no path to clarity or no knowledge of the path to wisdom. The Way of Abiding – the SOSF - says drop the old tenets of religion and move into direct and continual abiding in your innate mind through direct experience. The Realization: The SOSF states that Realization is mind without the fabricated strategies from mythological, old-style religions, governments that do not have people first orientation, corporate advertising, military, and misguided public education. All of those entities are culturally created systems to box human beings into distraction from the study, experience and continual resting in one’s clear relaxed open state. Such mind education, experience, and abiding in the natural state is threatening to current governments. Governments' propaganda is based upon controlling a populace and having them always ready to be militarized and die for business interests. A million people were killed and injured just to get Iraqi oil for corporate profit and maintain the polluting oil economic system. Driven by corporate advertising to buy things, military propaganda to fight for corporate business interests, and blinded by religion's rationales for repression, humanity has been led blindfold by these fraudulent entities to bring the whole planet to the point of collapse. But the experience of abiding in your innate natural state of awareness naturally dissolves all indoctrination of government repression, capitalist buying fever, and military fear mongering. In the natural state of awareness… clear and unimpeded, a great equanimity without border… the very rationale of envy, fear, and hate vanishes. As John F. Kennedy stated, “For, in the final analysis, our most basic common link is that we all inhabit this small planet. We all breathe the same air. We all cherish our children's future. And we are all mortal… And is not peace, in the last analysis, basically a matter of human rights -- the right to live out our lives without fear of devastation -- the right to breathe air as nature provided it -- the right of future generations to a healthy existence". Such education, encouragement, and practice of resting in the natural mind are the tenets and essence of the SOSF. The Way of Abiding Realization is inclusive to the atmosphere, the oceans, the environment, animals, and all things seen and unseen. The experience of the natural mind educates such understanding. THE ULTIMATE REALITY Motivation: The SOSF deems that motivation is the new basic barometer; it is the basic tenet. Members of the SOSF state that to understand one’s motivation is the singular basic activity to live by, to practice, and to teach to our children and all others. What is your motivation - is the basic question that SOSF members ask of themselves in their daily practice. The answer is always: Be a benefit to others, in all one’s actions. This is the quintessential purpose of life. This replaces the corporate-government motivation that profit is more important than you. Benefit is defined as: cooperation, equanimity, helping, responsibility for actions, alleviating suffering, compassion, kindness, non-polluting, non-aggression, sharing, non-violent. The SOSF maintains that the notion of profit at any price has no morals, ethics, and certainly, no experience of the true natural state of awareness or realization. Centuries of such profit-driven monstrosity has resulted in the complete melting down of the planet into warfare, starvation, poison and pollution. What are the practices of the Society of Sacred Flowers? All practices relate to recognizing the innate clarity of the mind and the importance of community. In the experience of the natural state: the fabric of racism, exploitation for profit, sex discrimination, and other intolerance dissolve. You can see the threat such practice of the natural mind can cause to the reign of all current governments and religions. The best part is that you already have this wisdom within you. You've always had it. It's so easy that you've looked right past it and instead followed the delusions and anxieties of thinking. All people have the ability to see things just as they are without any society imposed description. You can do it even now. Just look at where you are; the apartment, the living room, the area that is right in front of your view. Without thinking any thought of; this is good, bad, bright, dim, sad, happy, better, bad, or any kind of description, just look at what you see – just as it is. That is your true vision. It is uninfluenced by indoctrinations from society, business advertising, religion, military, and government; rather it is seeing things just as they are. You notice right away, that you already have such vision. You don’t need to create anything. You don't need to travel any distance to find it. The real mind, open and free, is this natural first view without limitation. That is the view to develop and maintain. Now after years of cultural indoctrination, it may be easy to recognize the true view but you may find that it is not so easy to stay in that view. That’s the practice; to recognize the “just as it is” state of attention within you, and to remember, to go back to that view when you find that you have drifted off into the discursive mind of thoughts. Gradually, you will find the natural view extending from a second, to a few seconds, and yes, you can get to maintaining that natural view for even longer bits of time. You are not a zombie in the natural state. You are a zombie when you are mesmerized by the thoughts racing through your mind and believe that they are real and are really “you”. Some amount of reading about the natural mind may help, but reading alone will never get you to realization. You must make the effort beyond book learning. You must do the actual practice. You must make the effort to meet and train with teachers who can guide you and answer questions as you move along the path of realization and stabilization. The main understanding and direct experience is to recognize and rest in the natural mind. There is no faith to this religion. There is direct personal experience. Such direct experience clarifies. What you want is to know, not hope, or guess, or wish for realization. What you want is available within you via your own direct experience. Direct experience is a certainty that removes doubt, delusion, and prepares you for death. The issue of death: During life, with having practiced and found the natural state, a person will have greatly dissolved the fear of dying prior to death. As death processes unfold, the person then rests in the natural state, and the greater profound natural state that is free and has always been free from mental activity blooms. The person “blends” one's natural state with the universe's vast natural state. There is joy beyond joy and freedom from fears, sufferings. One has blended ones vast natural unattached state with the universe sized vast natural state…you are no longer attached to form, to mundane human emotions and issues. The Sacrament of the Society of Sacred Flowers: The Way of Abiding mandates the use of herbs for celebration, community sharing, and to give thanks to this planet for its bounty of benefits. As the name of the Way of Abiding states; the Society of Sacred Flowers a plant to be chosen as the holy sacrament must be multi-use and pass the FIRMS test. F; the chosen plant is a healthy food. I; the plant is also successfully used in industrial uses to benefit humans. Its use is “green” as it is non or very low polluting in its industrial use, bio-degradable, and soil friendly. R; the plant has a pleasing recreational intoxication affect. It is not physically addictive. M; there are medical benefits from the use of the plant. Now that the plant has all of the FIRM qualities, it has the final S of sacred. From the FIRMS test; the first plant that fits this FIRMS designation is Cannabis for both its marijuana as well as its hemp use. Cannabis is the holy sacrament of the SOSF and is mandated for use at SOSF gatherings, festivals, and for personal use. SOSF members may also chose another plant that fits the FIRMS test and include it as your individual or group sacrament. But Cannabis is the first and main sacrament of the SOSF. The use of herbs for recreational intoxication, spiritual journey assistance, and medicinal health use is the option of adults. The Society says that recreational, spiritual, and medicinal use by adults is valid and mandates such use in Society gatherings of holiday celebration. WITH THIS CAVEAT: All herbs are to be used only by adults. Society of Sacred Flowers does not condone the use of such herbs by minors. As all beings born are in a constant state of flux and guaranteed at some point to die from this human form, aside from food, air, water, it is not correct to be addicted to any material thing. As an adult, it is your decision to use or not use intoxicating substances. Such a decision comes from your education about such substances, and your interest in the effect of using such materials. Adults with psychological problems are to use these herbs only with the consent or assistance of their therapist. The extent of use and the results from the use are your responsibility and not the Society of Sacred Flowers. These drugs are not supported Due to physically addictive, mentally destructive, and cancer causing properties: Tobacco: No use by members. Corporate tobacco products, with over 600 additives, create a toxic mess causing 24 different types of cancer and the exhaled smoke infects non-smokers with the toxic chemistry too. Millions die worldwide from tobacco. Alcohol – is a sloppy intoxicant. It is addictive and causes a variety of physical problems. It is poisonous. In the USA alone over 80,000 people a year die from alcohol. Mild social drinking is OK with the Society but alcohol is not mixed with Cannabis. Alcohol is not allowed at SOSF festivals, gatherings and holidays. The following are not endorsed for recreational use by the SOSF: Amphetamine Methamphetamine Cocaine and “crack” cocaine Heroin For clarification: Opium derivatives have an accepted function in treatment of pain and are accepted for that use. Addiction is not accepted as it doesn't fit the fact of this life's temporary and transitory nature. Holidays and festivals: Celebrated by the Society of Sacred Flowers with adult usage of the Cannabis sacrament: Spring Equinox, Summer Solstice, Autumnal Equinox, and the Winter Solstice, every new and full moon, First full moon in May, Founder’s day – which is your birthday- October 18, November 1, December 25, January 1, February 14 and 21, April 20, May 1, June 24, July 4, July 14, July 24. These are Society members’ religious holidays. What to do on these holidays: Individually or gathered together make use of Cannabis, the holy sacrament and their own chosen holy sacrament plant. The use of Cannabis is mandated and necessary as; the smoke ceremony of the sacrament. The sacrament is used in two ways. It can be used in either way or used in both ways during the ceremony on religious holidays. A small fire is made and the holy sacrament plant mixed with other herbs that you decide on is then put on the fire as a smoke offering to the blessings of this planet's natural ecology. You make the Cannabis as a “joint’ cigarette or use a pipe, hookah, vaporizer, or bong and share the Cannabis sacrament among the assembled SOSF members. The quantity consumed is your adult responsibility and decision. As part of the gathering, food can be made and shared. A dance party can be part of the ceremony festivities. This is open dancing with or without a dance partner. Your partners are other SOSF members, family members, loved ones who have died, and the wonderful dynamic energies of this planet that supports us. If a quieter festival is desired, it is suggested that the SOSF gathering shares the Cannabis sacrament and has discussion of life, meditation and explore the natural mind, or just sit together in relaxed companionship. You set the ritual and make it fun. Life can be short and hard enough so some time of enjoyment, reflection, and sharing is always good. Cannabis- hemp and Cannabis-marijuana: Cannabis-hemp can be grown as a commercial crop for profit and supplied to various commercial businesses. As Cannabis is the sacrament; personal cultivation, possession, and use is the religious right and duty of the SOSF member. In ceremony, in gatherings, and on SOSF holidays, members don’t sell the sacrament. They share the sacrament with other adult members and adult non-members. In States and nations where recreational marijuana use is legalized, SOSF members may produce organic, quality cannabis-marijuana products for sale. In all States of America, and in all nations of the earth, SOSF members have a religious right to cultivate, possess, have seed stock, and make use of Cannabis. SOSF members can grow cannabis as lawful medical marijuana providers for patients. They may set a fee for this medical production to cover costs and time. To initially start their Cannabis crop, members may need to purchase seed and clones. The Society of Sacred Flowers states that Cannabis and other herbs are an adult responsibility and does not condone the recreational use of Cannabis by minors or making the herbs available to minors. The seed is the symbol of the completeness of wisdom already present within. The wisdom is already within us and we will bloom from our nurturing and attention. Shiva the god from the Hindu, but only the image of the “dancing Shiva”. The society adopts this image only to this description: Shiva is: Your innate Clarity triumphant that shakes the “world”… you… awake from ignorance. Dancing: Society of Sacred Flowers gatherings are times of community gathering, food and dancing; have fun, dance in couples, dance in groups, dance by yourself, dance for those who can’t, dance for this life, dance for those who have died, dance in thanks for the all the blessing that this planet provides, dance for joy and wisdom. Gardens: Symbolic of organizing, nurturing, and harvesting of your awareness; Society members are encouraged to have their own garden. Members are encouraged to organically grow their own food crops. Such home growing of food diminishes corporate conglomerates from controlling the food production, and aids in producing food free from pesticides and other toxic substances. Home growing also is a spiritual exercise in witnessing the evolution of seed to fruition and seed again. As stated earlier, Cannabis is the sacrament so personal cultivation, possession, and use is the religious right and duty of the SOSF member. In ceremony, in gatherings and on SOSF holidays, members don’t sell the sacrament. They share the sacrament with other adult members and adult non-members. Flowers: Symbolic of the blooming of realization. Plants are a great symbol of unity with the environment. Working in harmony with sun, earth, air, water, the plant thrives to produce not only the flower of wisdom but also the new seed for the next generation which will already have the full experience and clarity knowledge within it. The education of Children: Children are educated in the basic tenet of the Society of Sacred Flowers: throughout life work to be a benefit to others. Children are instructed about the natural state that we all already have. The Natural mind awareness of the Society of Sacred Flowers: The Society of Sacred Flowers champions the innate natural mind as the pinnacle of knowledge, and wisdom to realize during this life. To have recognized the natural mind and to have implemented in one's life the proper motivation of Being a benefit to others, a person has fulfilled the human life purpose and has lived the Way of Abiding. What is not accepted: The earth is only 6,000 years old. Women sinned and are less than men. Women can’t make their own medical, employment, education, inheritance, travel decisions. That only certain people, of only a certain religion, are chosen people. Also, no longer accepted is the myth of an external entity watching you and waiting after your death to judge you. Also not accepted; the fantasy that the earth is the center of the universe under the care and watching of an external entity and the human body was made in the external entities image. There was no Adam and Eve, no Noah and his boat, there was no historical King David, King Salomon, nor does there seem to have been a historical Jesus. What we don't need: We don’t need the old religion's myth, guilt driven and fear mongering to coerce people to be compassionate, loving, and helpful. What is acknowledged: Persons, who use violence and aggressive means to dominate personally and economically over others demonstrate that those persons are small mind and have lost awareness of the natural state. Society of Sacred Flowers You meet together in your homes, you sit in nature's open spaces, and the wisdom is there within you. You do the research, you make the effort, and you need no mediator between you and your wisdom once you have gotten guidance in the practice of natural mind and had some glimpses of the direct experience of the natural wisdom. You may want clarification on aspects of that direct experience and that should come from those who have direct experience. In the SOSF, there are no required church buildings. You can meet together wherever you want and have a grand time of talking, eating, dancing, and being together. A gathering of like minded people interested in peace, environmental quality, the great equanimity, the natural mind and its realization is dedicated to the peaceful, joyful, fulfillment of life's purpose – the basic tenet of which is to; be a benefit to others. Get together and have some fun. The SOSF has no central campus. If you want to donate money to the Society – thanks - but no required tithing of your money is part of the Way of Abiding.
